Platelet lysate

Bovine platelet lysate

Equine platelet lysate

Medium supplement

Platelet lysate ranks among the category of nutrition supplements for media serving especially for the cultivation of stem cell and other specific types of human cells. It is intended especially for research and development in regenerative medicine.

Platelet lysate as a medium supplement is an additive effective agent that creates, after it has been mixed with the basic components of the medium, a highly effective culture medium. Basically, it is a protein supplement for culture media for the cultivation and, where applicable, for the expansion of various types of human cells, including stem cells. It is a biologically active agent with a distinct proliferation effect on the growth of human cells. Its substance is the thrombocytic lysate, which contains important growth factors (e. g. TGF, VEGF, IGF, and others).

Composition: Citrate bovine/equine plasma with platelet factors obtained from the initial PRP (platelet-rich plasma) by freezing. The amount of the initial thrombocytes is given on the label.

Usage: To produce the culture medium, it is recommended to use 12.5 ml of platelet lysate for 500 ml of the medium. It is suitable to conduct bacterial filtration before the lysate is added to the medium.

Distribution: Platelet lysate is distributed in the amount of 50 ml or 100 ml.

Storage: Frozen below -20°C. The product may be defrosted for a short time (for instance in the course of transport or when a part of the supplement is removed). Freeze-dried product store at normal temperature.

Expiration: Two years after the date of collection. Freeze-dried product five years after the date of collection.

Warning: The product is not intended for a direct application to humans. Its effect consists in the improvement of the growth of cells, especially mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) in vitro.

Intended for science and research.
